Peace be upon Imam Hussain, the inheritor of Jesus

Today is the first day of the holy month of Rajab, one of the third holy months in the Islamic calendar: Rajab, Sha’ban and Ramadan. Fasting and pilgrimage (Ziyarat) of Imam Hussain (PBUH) are recommended to do on this day and there is some praying (Duas) to be read at the time of the pilgrimage of Imam Hussain when you are at the holy shrine of Imam Hussain or far away from it. Ziyarat Warith (the inheritor) is one of these small praying which begins with the peaces upon the holy prophets:

Peace be upon you, O the inheritor of Adam, the one chosen by God,

Peace be upon you, O the inheritor of Noah, the Prophet of God,

Peace be upon you, O the inheritor of Abraham, the friend of God,

Peace be upon you, O the inheritor of Moses, the one who talked to God,

Peace be upon you, O the inheritor of Jesus, the spirit of God,
