Self-injury in any ways is forbidden in Islam but If you Google search for images with the title of “Ashura”, you will find lots of bloody terrifying photos showing self-flagellation with chains, knives, swards or blades by some people who are claimed as Shia Muslim people!!

As the day of Ashura is marked by Muslim and Shia people in a completely different way, I made this blog to spread the truth to the extent of my ability and “God does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability” (The holy Quran; 2:286)

Note: All images made by ashuraaa.wordpress.com are “Waqf” or free to use to introduce Imam Hussain (PBUH) and Islamic insights to the world for the sake of God.
