Ashura
There is no day like yours o’ Hussain
There is no doubt that the greatest and the most painful massacre in history was the martyrdom of Hussain (PBUH) and his 72 companions on the day of Ashura.
Imam Hussain (PBUH) was the prophet Muhammad’s grandson who was surrounded by an army of 30,000 people in Karbala, with no water for three days! They fought deliberately in the battlefield but they were all killed and beheaded one by one in front of their families on one day which is called Ashura.
Following the martyrdom of Hussain (PBUH) and his companions, their bodies were trampled by the hoofs of the horses, their tents were burnt in fire and their women and children including Lady Zeinab (PBUH), the prophet Muhammad’s granddaughter, were all captured and moved along with their heads toward the Levant.

There is no day like yours, O’ Aba Abdillah! [Hussain]”

Ashura | The real story of Ashura by Imam Mahdi
Although we heard about the tragedy of Ashura but if we want to know the real story of Ashura, I think we should read a prayer known as Ziyarat Nahiyah which has been said by the last man remained from the descendant of Imam Hussain, Imam Mahdi (may Allah Hasten his reappearance). If we read this prayer carefully, we can understand that this prayer is not just a prayer, It’s saying of Imam Mahdi to introduce Imam Hussain and the real event of Ashura to the world.
See the following images including some parts of Ziyarat Nahiyah

Command our Shia to pilgrim Imam Hussain’s holy shrine – A Quote by Imam Baqir
Now, for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Baqir (PBUH), I prepared an interesting quote by him about Imam Hussain’s pilgrimage. A more interesting point is that what exactly the pilgrimage of imam Hussain is. Why Shia Imams have commanded their followers to pilgrim the holy shrine of Imam Hussain?
Click here to download the above image in high resolution
Imam Baqir (PBUH):
Command our Shia (our followers) to pilgrim the holy shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH) because Imam Hussain’s pilgrimage increases the Rizq (provision) and extends the lifetime and takes the wickedness away and Imam Hussain’s pilgrimage is a duty for all the believers who have accepted him as a Imam.
Kamil al-Ziyarat, P.284

Imam Hussain sees who is crying for him
Love toward Imam Hussain is not a one-sided love. He looks at us while we are crying for him and he prays for us and asks God to forgive us.
The first day of Muharram is coming again and our hearts are igniting again for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain.
Imam Sadiq (PBUH):
Imam Hussain sees who is crying for him and asks God to forgive him*

Show Your Love Toward Husayn on Arbaeen
When I was younger, I was seeing people in love with imam Husayn and I tried to understand this kind of Love but I couldn’t feel it. I could not understand the feeling of those people who want to go to Karbala as a pilgrim of Imam Husayn despite all troubles and dangers over there. Walking 80 Km to the holy shrine of Imam Husayn on the day of Arbaeen is a ridiculous way to choose despite all existing vehicle in theses days, but definitely It is a way to show our love toward Husayn to the world and let all the people in the world know that there is a true love differed from the other loves tried to show by Hollywood movies.
