Thanks God, It was my 1st travel to Karbala and the 1st time walking on Arbaeen but interestingly everything on the way to Karbala was so familiar to me as I had seen most of them at the photos of the previous years.
It was kindness and love all over on the way to Karbala despite what Lady Zainab and Imam Hussain’s children saw on this way more than 14 centuries ago while they were captive…

Arbaeen 2015: 27 Million Pilgrims Flock to Karbala + photos
In the last few days, Another epic of Arbaeen was made in Karbala by Imam Hussain’s Lovers around the world. The number of pilgrims flocking to the holy city of Karbala for Arbaeen 2015 was said to hit 27 million according to news.

On the way to Karbala
Karbala holds the holy shrine of the prophet Muhammad’s grandson and his companions, so millions of Muslims around the world make their way to the city of Karbala to commemorate the day of Arbaeen in every year.
The day of Arbaeen is 40 days following Ashura and in this year(2014) Arbaeen will fall on 13th December.
According to news, many pilgrims have begun a journey of 55 miles or so to Karbala by their own foot for the love of Imam Hussain (PBUH). Here are some photos of the previous years I’ve selected for you.
Arbaeen, 40 days after Ashura
40 days after Ashura is called Arbaeen (/ærbæyi:n/).
The Arbaeen ceremony is one of the largest peaceful gatherings in the world that is annually occurs 40 days after the martyrdom of the Prophet Mohammad’s grandson, Imam Hussain (PBUH), and his companions on the day of Ashura.
Millions of Muslims around the world make their way to the city of Karbala in Iraq to commemorate Arbaeen every year. many of these pilgrims make a journey of 55 miles or so, on their own foot for the love of Imam Hussain (PBUH) despite the terrorist attacks.
Karbala is the city where the holy shrine of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson is held in and it was the destination of an estimated more than 20 million people in Arbaeen 2014.
This year, Arbaeen will fall on Saturday 13th, December 2014.
