Arbaeen 2015: 27 Million Pilgrims Flock to Karbala + photos
In the last few days, Another epic of Arbaeen was made in Karbala by Imam Hussain’s Lovers around the world. The number of pilgrims flocking to the holy city of Karbala for Arbaeen 2015 was said to hit 27 million according to news.

Although some media have preferred to ignore this largest annual peaceful gathering in the world! but if you were on the way toward Karbala, you would see the huge people walking around you at day and night with their back packs in such a way that there were no space toward the holy shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH).

Most of the pilgrims on the way to Karbala were men and rarely you could find a prayer in congregation in which women took in part but always the best places at night were given to women.
Pilgrims from over 100 countries have been gathering in Karbala to mark the day of Arbaeen, despite all threats made by ISIL terrorist group. Many of the pilgrims have reached the holy city of Karbala on foot to show their devotion to the prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Imam Hussain and this year I was among these pilgrims walking from Najaf to Karbala and taking some photos by my mobile phone’s camera:

The above flag was unknown to me so I asked the lady who held it and found that she was from Toronto, Canada but the flag belonged to Tanzania, a country in south Africa and it was a flag of her group.
